Kids Programs This Fall

|

Dear Friends,

The school year is just around the corner, and we’re here to make afternoons something your kids look forward to! Whether you need daily after-school care, want to explore a new hobby, or are looking for a way to keep kids active and engaged, the J has you covered.

For over 30 years, our KidsTime After-School Enrichment Program has been the premier after-school care provider in Lower Merion. Serving children in grades K–5, KidsTime offers an inquiry-based, child-driven experience. A typical afternoon includes transportation from school, free play, a healthy snack, supervised homework time, and a variety of engaging activities. Kids make new friends from across the district while enjoying a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment. We currently serve Cynwyd Elementary, Penn Wynne Elementary, Merion Elementary, and Perelman Jewish Day School, and we are happy to discuss availability for other LMSD schools. KidsTime runs Monday through Friday from 3:30–6:00 PM in alignment with the LMSD calendar.

Our Fall 2025 enrichment programs are also now open for registration, offering something for every age and interest. Hebrew classes for grades 1 through 6 bring language to life through games, creativity, and conversation, helping kids use Hebrew naturally and confidently from day one. Taekwondo classes for ages 3 through grade 5 build discipline, strength, and focus while keeping kids active. Cooking for Littles, designed for ages 3 through kindergarten, combines storytelling and hands-on food activities tied to holidays and seasonal themes. For grades 1 through 5, our Fall Holiday Cooking class explores traditional and new recipes for holidays from Rosh Hashana to Hanukkah, and includes a Mitzvah Project that teaches about food insecurity.

We’re also excited to welcome families back to the Kehillah Sunday Soccer League, a fun, co-ed, instructional league for children in Pre-K through 6th grade. Whether your child is brand new to the game or already loves to play, they’ll learn soccer skills, build confidence, and make new friends in a supportive environment. All practices and games are held on Sundays at the Mandell Campus in Melrose Park. No experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome, need-based scholarships are available. Before the season kicks off, join us for our Kehillah Soccer Pop-up Family Day on Sunday, August 17 from 2:30-4:00 PM for friendly games, skill challenges, and team-building activities. The league season runs for seven Sundays, September 14 through November 2.

No matter which program you choose, your child will be supported, engaged, and excited to return each week. Now is the perfect time to secure your spot, register today and make the after-school hours the best part of their day!

Shabbat Shalom,

Matt
