Dress Code
Due to the intensity of the game, we take pride in the safety and caring of your children. With that in mind, we have implemented a dress code for the safety of all players.

  1. Soccer socks that come up to the knees that are made to have shin guards underneath.
  2. Shin guards are required for all players and must be worn underneath the soccer socks. This is to keep the shin guards in their proper position. Shin guards come in different sizes so please have your child fitted so that they are both comfortable to wear and offer the proper protection.
  3. Rubber cleats are recommended for pre-k and kindergarten divisions, but mandatory for first through eighth graders. Metal cleats are NOT allowed to be worn by the children.
  4. Earrings: all studs must be covered or taped on both the front and back of the stud. No hoops of any kind are allowed due to safety issues
  5. Glasses: all glasses must be worn with an athletic strap that will keep the glasses from falling to the ground and being broken.
  6. No baseball hats, necklaces, rings or bracelets are to be worn due to safety issues.
  7. Every player should bring a filled water bottle for hydration purposes.
  8. Every player should bring their own soccer ball. Size 3: Pre-K to 2nd grade. Size 4: 3rd grade to 4th grade. Size 5 for 5th to 8th grades.

We care about every child’s safety and thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Weather Cancellation
If games are going to be canceled, parents will be notified via email.
Emails will be sent no later than 10:00 a.m. for pre-K games and 12:15 p.m. for Divisions K through 9th grade, one hour before the scheduled play time.
We do play through rain but not with lightning/thunder.

We are playing unless you get an email saying otherwise.

Special note for sudden change of weather with players already present: The coaching staff of each team is the final decision-maker as to whether it is safe to play/practice soccer on the field at the time of the sudden weather change. Coaches of both competing teams must concur that the game is either canceled or playable.

Why Small Sided Games

All ages can play “Small Sided Games”, but it has a definite developmental impact on younger soccer players
Reasons why as soccer coaches, administrators and parents we need to encourage small-sided games:

Because we want our young soccer players to…

  1. Touch the soccer ball more often and become more skillful with it! (Individual technical development)
  2. Make more, less-complicated decisions during the game! (Tactical development)
  3. Be more physically efficient in the field space they are playing in!
  4. Have more individual teaching time with the coach! Less players on the field and less players on the team will guarantee this!
  5. Have more, involved playing time in the game! (More opportunity to solve problems that only the game presents)
  6. Have more opportunity to play on both sides of the ball! (More exposure to attacking and defending situations)
  7. Have more opportunities to score goals! (Pure excitement)

The “Small-Sided” environment is a developmentally appropriate environment that focuses on the young soccer player and it’s FUN. It just makes sense doesn’t it?
