Swim with your dog is back!

|

Dear Friends,

As another incredible summer at the Kaiserman JCC pool begins to wind down, I want to thank everyone who made this season so special. Whether you joined us for lap swim, family swim, swim lessons, or simply spent an afternoon relaxing by the water, you’ve helped create another unforgettable summer filled with laughter, friendships, and lasting memories. We’ve launched our Lifeguard Appreciation Fund, giving our community an opportunity to show some extra love in honor of the lifeguards who help keep our pool safe and welcoming all summer long. We still have a little summer left to enjoy, and we hope to see you at the pool before the season comes to a close.

Before we officially say goodbye to another pool season, we’re bringing back one of our most beloved traditions: Harley’s Paws in the Pool! This year, we’re once again opening the pool exclusively for our four-legged friends. Join us Monday, 9/14 through Friday, 9/18, from 3-7PM, and Saturday, 9/19 and Sunday, 9/20, from 12-4PM, as our outdoor pool and fenced-in grounds become a doggie paradise. Dogs and their owners can splash in both the heated main pool and toddler pool. Admission is $75 for the week or $15 per visit, making it easy to stop by whenever your pup is ready to make a splash.

Last year’s event was such a hit that it was featured on Fox 29! If you missed it, be sure to check out our segment online. We’re also excited to share that Harley’s Paws in the Pool will be featured on PHL17’s Positively Philly on Monday, August 24. Local viewers can tune in to PHL17 (The CW) weekdays at 9:00 AM, or stream it free from anywhere using the PHL17+ app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or Apple TV.

Harley’s Paws in the Pool is held in loving memory of my dog, Harley, a gentle therapy dog and cherished member of our community who passed away in 2023. Harley brought comfort, joy, and countless smiles to everyone he met, and even in retirement he loved strolling around the JCC and taking one last swim at the end of each season. It means so much to continue this tradition in his honor while creating new memories for families and their furry companions.

Before registering, please review our event guidelines, including vaccination requirements, behavior expectations, and pool safety information. We can’t wait to celebrate another wonderful season with you and your best friend.

Looking forward to ending the summer with plenty of wagging tails!

Shabbat Shalom,

Amy
