Celebrating Achievements at the J

|

Dear Friends,

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Miss Tammy asked her class, one by one, when they received their diploma at their 4 Year Old Class Graduation Ceremony this week from the Robert J. Wilf Preschool & Kindergarten. It was a question on the minds of many parents, celebrating the achievements and transitions associated with another school year in the books here at the Kaiserman JCC. From preschool promotion, to performances culminating a year in the life of our Gymnastics Team, this past week was one of dreams and celebrations of accomplishment.
Here at the JCC we talk about enhancing lives and fostering connections across our educational and enrichment programs. Ideally, this work positions young people to thrive, buttressed by a supportive, educationally-rich foundation, and a peer group invested deeply in their success. As a community, it’s as worth therefore remembering the question not just at the end of a year, but throughout – how do we aspire to aid in growth?

Later this month we will welcome over 450 children to our campus for the 2022 season of Camp Kef. New for this summer, we have adopted a set of “Guiding Values.” These concepts seek to answer that question aspirationally, and impactfully. Compassion. Kindness. Enthusiasm. Pride. These are some of the elements we have selected to guide camp experiences over the summer, and inspire our educators and staff. We look forward to celebrating every milestone with you along the way. With such attributes ascribed to our next generation, just think about the inspiring people they might grow up to be!

Shabbat Shalom,
Alan
