Happy New Year from the Kaiserman JCC

|

Dear Friends,

As we usher in a new year, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve embarked on together at the Kaiserman JCC. We’ve witnessed remarkable growth, resilience, and a renewed sense of community. The stories I’ve heard from stakeholders, acquaintances, and even strangers about their profound connections with the Kaiserman JCC continue to inspire me. We are more than just a facility; we are the place where memories are made, where friendships blossom, and where our community comes together to thrive.

Record enrollments in programs, especially the Robert J. Wilf Preschool and Kindergarten and Camp Kef, are a testament to our community’s resilience. Our reach has expanded across Philadelphia through initiatives like J on the Way, Diller Teen Fellows, and JCC Maccabi Team Philadelphia, inspiring new Jewish experiences across the region. Gems at the J Older Adult classes and programming are in full swing, youth enrichment programs are flourishing, and we proudly host esteemed organizations like the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia, and IAC Philadelphia.

In the face of adversity, we have demonstrated our commitment to being a beacon of support and compassion. We’ve hosted survivors of the October 7 massacre in Israel, welcomed relocated Israeli families into our preschool, and consistently found programming to support those affected, collecting donations and more for them. We emerged stronger and more united than ever – making sure to spread light in our community.

As we step into the next chapter, our vision remains bright and ambitious. Our strategic plan positions the Kaiserman JCC as the vibrant hub of Jewish life on the Main Line and beyond. Collaborating with our partners at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, we are preparing significant facility upgrades this year, with initial enhancements planned for our preschool, the gymnasium, and communal spaces. Over the coming year, we will continue to expand our adult and older adult programs, enriching our hub of wellness, arts, and cultural offerings that celebrate our Jewish and Israeli heritage. Early childhood programs will receive a boost, including a growing our preschool and parenting initiatives. This ambitious roadmap requires collective effort, and that’s where you come in.

I invite you to be an integral part of our vision. Make a tax-deductible contribution to the JCC by December 31st and witness your gift’s impact. Join us in embodying one of our core values—L’dor V’dor, connecting generations. Your generosity will sow the seeds for the next chapter of our impact, ensuring that the Kaiserman JCC remains an integral part of our community’s story.

Shabbat Shalom, and cheers to a joyous 2024,
Alan
