Fall Gems Program Guide

|

Dear Friends,

Our brand-new Fall Gems Guide is here, and it’s packed with programs designed for adults of all ages to learn, connect, and enjoy community at the J. Whether you’re interested in history, film, food, art, or just good company, this season has something for you. Here are just a few highlights you’ll find inside the guide:

For those who love exploring history and culture, our Jews from Around the World series will take us on a journey from Italy to Curaçao, Yemen, and Ukraine, exploring the history, culture, and cuisine of Jewish communities across the globe. We’ll also dive into the thrills of Alfred Hitchcock, discover the ways Jewish holidays are celebrated on film, and explore the history behind Einstein, Oppenheimer, and the atomic age.

If hands-on experiences are more your style, join us for a Zentangle art workshop to set intentions for the New Year, an Autumn Cooking Class with JFCS, or our lively Free Resource Expo & Line Dancing Happy Hour. Plus, don’t miss our Free Book Party kick-off event where you’ll help choose next year’s book club selections.

For a fun day out, join us as we head out for the day to the Nemours Estate on September 26th, or on our trip to Act II Playhouse to see Stephen King’s Misery on October 23. There are also more exciting trips throughout the season, giving plenty of opportunities to explore, learn, and connect.

All of this, along with so much more, can be found in our guide, and we’re here to help you navigate it all! Our Gems Registration Brunch & Info Session is happening Wednesday, September 4, from 10-11:30am. Come enjoy a light brunch, meet fellow Gems participants, and hear more about upcoming programs and trips. Can’t make it? Email us to set up a time to chat, we’d love to connect with you!

Shabbat Shalom,
Rachel
