Name(Required)
Monoprinting with Acrylics: Branch Out of Your Comfort Zone
Monoprinting is a type of printing in which an image is painted on a non-absorbent material and then transferred once on to paper. We will use foil, plastic and various materials to create unique abstract works of art. Acrylics can stain clothing so please come dressed for the mess.
Cyanotype Paper: Art For Connecting with Nature (weather permitting)
Cyanotype is a centuries old photography method that uses special photo paper and allows for the development of an image by sunlight. We will arrange leaves, flowers and other natural items on our paper and watch as beautiful, permanent images emerge. A bright, sunny day is needed for this project. If there are clouds or rain this class will shift to Gelli Plate Printing: Art For Connecting with Nature. Gelli plates are a versatile art tool and are used to transfer images using ink and paint onto paper. We will use gelli plates and natural materials, such as leaves and flowers, to create lovely, delicate artwork.
