Dear Friends,
May 1 marks the start of Water Safety Month, the perfect reminder that time at the pool should always begin with confidence, awareness, and the right skills. As we look ahead to another incredible summer at the Kaiserman JCC pool, we’re excited to share what’s new, what’s back, and why this is the place for your family all season long.
Unlike many local swim clubs, there are no residency requirements and no need for a current member to sponsor you. Just sign up and enjoy. Our pool remains a space to relax and connect, with plenty of room to lounge, bring snacks and lunch, and spend the day however you’d like.
We’ve also made thoughtful additions to improve your experience. During the weeks of Camp Kef, we’re adding an extra hour of weekday lap swim from 3-4 PM. Aqua Fit classes will now be offered at more convenient times, both before lessons on Thursdays and during a quieter window on Sundays. Our J-Swim pre-swim team has grown to include children 8-14 years old and continues to meet 2x a week this summer. You’ll also find expanded private lesson availability with instructors your children already know and trust from camp, along with weekend group classes that follow the Camp Kef model of small groups and personalized attention.
We’re continuing to prioritize flexibility and comfort in the pool itself, with at least two lap lanes and one recreational swim lane available at all times. Sunday evenings will once again include women’s-only swim from 5-6 PM.
Most importantly, Water Safety Month is a reminder that swim lessons are not just a summer activity, they’re a critical life skill. Whether your child is just starting out or building on existing skills, our programs are designed to meet them where they are, helping them grow in confidence while staying safe in and around the water.
We can’t wait to welcome you back for another summer of sun, connection, and community at the pool. Please click here to learn more about our programs!
Shabbat Shalom,
Sydnie Wittenberg
