It's Officially Summer!

|

Dear Friends,

It’s officially summer at the Kaiserman JCC, and we couldn’t be more excited to kick off Camp Kef this coming Monday! Around the J, you can already feel the buzz of anticipation as counselors arrive for training, classrooms get transformed into colorful, welcoming spaces, and our outdoor spaces come alive with preparation for the best summer yet.

We’ve spent months planning, and this summer’s calendar is packed with exciting new activities and programs for every age group. Our youngest campers will enjoy sensory play, music, STEM experiments, and tons of outdoor fun. Plus, Thrilling Thursdays will bring a different surprise each week, from bubble magic to petting zoos to live performances and more. For our older campers, we’ve added some new activities to our classic camp favorites including improv games, Israeli adventures, fencing, filmmaking, taekwondo, and brand-new electives (read more below!). Whether your camper loves sports, art, theater, or just good old-fashioned camp games, there’s something here for them to discover.

We’re especially excited to introduce exciting new electives for our older campers this summer. First up, KefCast, our very own Camp Kef podcast! Each week will feature a new episode filled with camp stories, interviews, and behind-the-scenes fun to bring the magic of camp right to your ears, start by listening to the trailer here. We’re also launching an incredible new maker space elective, where campers can explore their creativity with our 3D printer or build amazing projects in our brand-new Maple Wood Shop.

We also have a full lineup of dress-up days to keep the energy high all summer long – Sports Day, Pajama Day, Yom Israel, Tie-Dye Day, and more. Special field trips like Urban Air, Treetop Adventure, and events like color war week will give campers something to look forward to all summer long.

If you’re still thinking about summer plans, we do have limited availability in select groups and weeks of camp.

We can’t wait to welcome campers next week and kick off a summer full of discovery, friendship, and fun.

Shabbat Shalom,

Katie
