Happy Thanksgiving!

|

Dear Friends,

How did you kick off your Thanksgiving holiday? Cooking? Shopping? Hopefully with friends, family, and loved ones. At the Kaiserman JCC we chose to open the building Thursday morning with our partners at Aish Chaim to over one hundred of our nearest and dearest to do joyful communal mitzvot (good deeds). Check out our social media posts to catch a glimpse as we wrapped presents for children in need of a holiday gift, packed treats for service workers we want to celebrate, and prepared basic need kits for unhoused individuals across our region.

For the last few weeks, we’ve been writing at length in this forum about the celebration of our 50th year impacting this community, and our vision for the future. But yesterday morning basically said it all. The Kaiserman JCC is a place that brings people together. We personify Jewish values and culture to life in meaningful, modern ways. We are a vibrant, intergenerational hub helping to knit this community back together following almost three years of a pandemic.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to join us there is plenty more ahead. We are only getting started.

Wishing everyone a long weekend of gratitude.

Shabbat Shalom,
Alan
