Diller Teen Fellows

|

We are so excited to share a message from Darren Rabinowitz, Philadelphia Diller Teen Fellow Program Coordinator, below! Our JCC has recently partnered with the Diller Teen Fellows program, an incredible experiential learning, traveling and growth experience for 10th and 11th graders. We are now serving as the new home for this popular teen leadership development program, which the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has stewarded for several years, and continue to support.

Dear Friends,

I am incredibly excited to bring the Diller Teen Fellows program to the Kaiserman JCC. In short, the Diller program recruits 20 Jewish high school sophomores and juniors from the Greater Philadelphia area to go on a year-long journey of a lifetime. We investigate our Jewish identities, critically engage with what it means to be a Jewish leader, uncover our own unique relationship with Israel and look to our communities to see how we can have a positive impact through Tikkun Olam and acts of Chesed. We even get the opportunity to host Israelis from our sister city, Herzilyah, and travel to Israel in the summers for three weeks!

I have seen this program grow over the past four years in Philadelphia where we now have over 75 former and current Diller Teen Fellows. This current cohort is glad to have found a home at the Kaiserman JCC and look forward to being part of the Kaiserman JCC family.

If you know of a rising high school Sophomore and Junior who would like to know more about the Diller Teen Fellows program, please reach out to me at drabinowitz@phillyjcc.com to hear more about the program. Financial assistance is available for families and is graciously made available by the Helen Diller Foundation.

Shabbat Shalom,
Darren
