Join us on Sunday, April 14 as we immerse ourselves in the spirit of Passover with an array of programs lined up for everyone to enjoy.
Kickstart your Passover journey by browsing through a stunning collection of jewelry in the JCC lobby. Dalia Daskal will be showcasing her exquisite pieces, with proceeds going towards supporting wounded Israeli soldiers. Your purchase not only adds a touch of elegance but also contributes to a noble cause.
Get ready for some creative fun! Join us for “HOP into Passover,” a hands-on crafting session perfect for children ages 3-6 and their parents. Led by Artist Elana Mallov, we’ll explore the symbolism of the Passover plagues and get crafty as we create 3-D frogs. It’s an educational and engaging experience that the whole family will enjoy! Our adult art workshop, “Colorful Salt Water Vessel,” promises to ignite your creativity as we decorate glass jars inspired by artist Pieter Mondriaan. These vessels will add a colorful touch to your Passover seder table.
For those looking to get their bodies moving, “SharQui – The Bellydance workout” offers an empowering fitness experience. Did you know that belly dance is deeply rooted in Jewish culture? Come celebrate your beauty and embrace this cultural tradition while getting a good sweat! Spring is also a time for new beginnings, so why not participate in our “Spring Plant Exchange”? Bring along your plants to swap with fellow community members and breathe new life into your indoor or outdoor green spaces.
History buffs, you’re in for a treat with “The Illustrated Passover Haggadah” session led by Dr. Daskal. Journey through centuries of Jewish history as we explore prized items from Dr. Daskal’s impressive Haggadah collection.
And of course, we haven’t forgotten our school-aged friends! “Passover Palooza: A Candy Seder for Children 7-12” is sure to be a hit with candy, crafts, and a fun-filled celebration of the Passover story.
