Dear Friends,
This morning we hosted Representative Mary Jo Daly’s Senior Fair where we welcomed over one hundred older adults to walk through 35 vendors offering services and programming in our community. We were both thrilled to host, as well as participate with our new colleagues from Golden Slipper Gems. It was fantastic to learn more about all of the resources available locally and inspiring to hear how excited the community is about our soon-to-be-official partnership with Gems. Thank you to all who joined us, and to our amazing volunteers who helped to make the day a success!
We are proud to be a vibrant hub of communal life for all ages. Our intergenerational setting allows us to serve a critical and unique role in the landscape of active older adults in our area, which was really easy to see today. We even said some hellos to a few Preschool Family grandparents who stopped by the Fair.
The incredible Gems staff members who will be joining our team later this spring, Rabbi Moriah, Orit, and Greta, are hosting a Town Hall style meeting on Zoom on Wednesday, May 3 at 10am. Anyone from the community is invited to join and meet the Gems team, ask questions, and learn more about the future of our programming and partnership.
