Welcome to Team Philadelphia and the JCC Maccabi Games in Israel!

We are so excited that you will be joining Team Philadelphia in Israel.  Please read though this page fully and then you will begin your journey to Israel by registering with our delegation and paying your deposit.

Games Details

Dates: July 5th – 25th, 2023

Eligibility: Teens must identify as Jewish, be 14 years old by July 5th and still be 17 on July 25th.

Cost:
$4500 with the Root One Israel Voucher
$7500 without Root One Israel Voucher

• Root One Israel Voucher Eligibility:
  • Meet the age eligibility above and have not previously received a RootOne Voucher.
  • Consent to allow RootOne to collect, use, and share contact information with like-minded Jewish organizations and media rights to image, audio, recordings, etc.
  • Complete the pre-trip educational requirement by May 1, 2023 (approximately 8-10 hours of in person or online programming as provided by the JCC delegation head to participants)
  • All Families must fill out this (FORM) stating whether or not they will be applying and using the RootOne Voucher by 1/31/2023.

Travel Insurance: JCCA is highly recommending travel insurance for the Israel trip and (HERE) is the document with specifics from the JCCA.

Sports available:
Baseball, Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball, Dance, Boys’ and Girls’ Flag Football, Ice Hockey, Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer, Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming, Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis, Girls’ Volleyball.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

1/10/2023: Israel Deposit Due – $1000 Basketball and Soccer will have their deposit due within 48 hours of team selection. If you register after 1/10/2023, we cannot guarantee a spot in Team Philadelphia.

1/20/2023: JCCA Maccabi Registration via Regpack Registration System Basketball and Soccer will have to complete  within 48 hours of  team selection. This system, will need to be completed in full or a late fee of $125 will be added to the teens registration (per JCCA rules). Families will need to complete teen’s personal information, rooming request (if you have), and passport upload.  Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after returning from Israel.

1/31/2023: RootOne Voucher Participant Agreement Due. Need Based Scholarship Application due. If your family is need please, reach out for an application.

2/15/2023: Israel Payment– $1500 (this will be automatically drafted from your credit card on file). Scholarship Allocation Announcements.

4/1/2023: Israel Payment Due – $1500 (this will be automatically drafted from your credit card on file)

5/1/2023: Root One Voucher Educational Requirement Deadline.

5/15/2023: Israel Payment Due – $500 (this will be automatically drafted from your credit card on file). CampDocs Medical information Due The athlete medical information including doctor’s physical must be completed in full or a late fee of $125 will be added to the teens registration (per JCCA rules). Doctor’s Form will be provided at a later date

6/1/2023: Israel Payment Due –  $3000 (this will be automatically drafted from your credit card on file) *if the Root One Voucher has not been applied for and/or if criteria have not been met.
