After-School Enrichment Classes for Children in Pre-K through Elementary

Winter 2026 Enrichment Classes at the J:

Offering a wide range of after-school programming for children as young as 3 years through Elementary School, we have something for everyone! Plus, this season we are offering a daytime class for babies and their caregivers.

Coming from Penn Wynne Elementary or Lower Merion Elementary? Ask us about our transportation options to JCC after school classes from your elementary school!

Taekwondo Classes (10 Weeks)

Experience the benefits of Taekwondo training including increased discipline, strength, coordination, flexibility and focus in our ongoing program for children. Martial arts training is more than a sport; it’s a way of life.

Lil’ Chefs Seasonal Kitchen (10 Weeks)

Pre-K and K students, roll up your sleeves and get ready to have fun as we stir, mash, roll, taste, touch, and smell, while we strengthen and encourage development of physical, social, and emotional skills as well as literacy and cognitive skills. Let us celebrate Tu b’Shevat, National Hot Chocolate Day, Hamantashen, Bourekas, Pizza Day, and Matzah Balls, in addition to lots of other surprises. The best part of these fun holidays is learning about them and of course…cooking, baking, and eating! Join us as we learn about and create some traditional holiday recipes and add in a few new favorites

Trending Treats: TikTok-Inspired Food Science (10 Weeks)

In this fun, unusual, and tasty class, we will explore the way ingredients interact with each other. We will test some Tik Tok food experiments and develop a few of our own. While working with our food science projects and experiments, students measure, mix, cook, bake, and investigate the importance of specific ingredients, the science of mixtures and solutions, and the chemical reactions that may occur when ingredients are combined, heated, shaken, or frozen. Yummy kitchen science!!

Basketball for Littles (10 Weeks)

With a focus on developing basic basketball skills, teamwork and sportsmanship, this is perfect for young children of every ability.Camp Kef’s Coach Matt instruct on basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting at an age appropriate level. This engaging class encourages physical growth, social-emotional learning, and a love for the game in a fun, supportive environment.

Science Club (6 Weeks)

Put on your goggles and get ready for a wild ride! Nature Jack takes students on a journey through the weirdest corners of science—mixing, bubbling, blasting, and exploring how nature reacts, grows, and sometimes goes boom! It’s part lab, part jungle, and all fun.

Israeli Games with Dan & Noya (10 Weeks)

Experience the fun and energy of Israeli culture through play! Led by our JCC’s Shinshinim, young Israeli emissaries, this class introduces kids to popular games from Israel, teamwork challenges, and indoor/outdoor activities that build friendship and connection. Each session offers a new mix of movement, culture, and fun straight from the playgrounds of Israel!

Textile Arts (9 Weeks)

Children explore the colorful world of textile arts through weaving, stitching, natural dyeing, and creative fiber projects. Classes offer chances to strengthen fine-motor skills, engage in hands-on problem solving, and practice project planning, all while experimenting with color and texture. Guided instruction and open-ended materials help every child create something uniquely their own

Junior Pickleball with Universal Rackets

The Main Line’s premier pickleball and tennis group, Universal Rackets, is bringing back another exciting season of pickleball for all levels at the JCC. Whether your child has been playing for years or just looking to get into the game, Universal Rackets has clinics just right for you! Clinics take place at the JCC’s newly renovated indoor gym on weekends and after school.

Kehillah Basketball in Wynnewood

Join us for a fun, instructional basketball program designed just for kids in Kindergarten through Grade 3! Whether your child is new to the game or already loves to play, they’ll develop basketball skills, build confidence, and make new friends in a supportive environment. Clinics take place at the JCC’s newly renovated indoor gym on Sundays, January 11 – March 29,2026
