Spring 2026 Enrichment Classes at the J:

Offering a wide range of after-school programming for children as young as 3 years through Middle School, we have something for everyone!

Coming from Penn Wynne Elementary or Lower Merion Elementary? Ask us about our transportation options to JCC after school classes from your elementary school!

Taekwondo Classes (7 Weeks)

Experience the benefits of Taekwondo training including increased discipline, strength, coordination, flexibility and focus in our ongoing program for children. Martial arts training is more than a sport; it’s a way of life.

Dance (8 Weeks)

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of dance, exploring a variety of styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. Students will learn basic techniques, choreography, and the importance of rhythm, flexibility, and expression in movement. Through guided practice and creative exploration, participants will develop their physical coordination, self-confidence, and an appreciation for dance as an art form. The course emphasizes both individual and group work, encouraging collaboration and creativity in a supportive environment, while also discussing the cultural and historical significance of different dance forms

Lil’ Chefs Seasonal Kitchen (7 Weeks)

Spring into fun with our Lil’ Chefs class! Designed for little hands and big imaginations, this class introduces children to the joy of cooking in a safe, hands-on environment. Each session, kids will explore simple, seasonal recipes, learn basic kitchen skills, and discover healthy ingredients—all while having a blast with friends. Perfect for budding chefs who love to mix, measure, and taste their creations!

Art with Hayley (6 Weeks)

Children explore the colorful world of textile arts through weaving, stitching, natural dyeing, and creative fiber projects. Classes offer chances to strengthen fine-motor skills, engage in hands-on problem solving, and practice project planning, all while experimenting with color and texture. Guided instruction and open-ended materials help every child create something uniquely their own.

Early Childhood Music (7 Weeks)

Introduce foundational musical concepts through developmentally appropriate, play-based instruction. Students engage in structured singing, guided movement, call-and-response exercises, and interactive musical games designed to develop early music literacy while supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Instruction is cumulative and sequential. Each lesson reinforces prior learning while introducing a new musical concept in a scaffolded manner. Consistent opening and closing routines foster classroom structure and musical familiarity. Core concepts include steady beat, tempo, dynamics, pitch, rhythm duration, musical form, and expressive qualities

Kehillah Soccer for Middle School Girls in Wynnewood

Join us on Sundays for a fun and supportive hour of soccer designed just for middle school girls. Each session is split between skill-building and game play so players can learn, improve, and enjoy the sport with friends. The first part of the hour focuses on developing core soccer skills like passing, dribbling, shooting, and teamwork through engaging drills. The second half is dedicated to small-sided games where players can apply what they’ve learned in a relaxed, game-like environment.  Whether your player is new to soccer or already loves the game, this program is a great way to build confidence, stay active, and have fun on the field. All skill levels are welcome.

Trending Treats: TikTok-Inspired Food Science (5 Weeks)

In this fun, unusual, and tasty class, we will explore the way ingredients interact with each other. We will test some Tik Tok food experiments and develop a few of our own. While working with our food science projects and experiments, students measure, mix, cook, bake, and investigate the importance of specific ingredients, the science of mixtures and solutions, and the chemical reactions that may occur when ingredients are combined, heated, shaken, or frozen. Yummy kitchen science!!

Spanish (8 Weeks)

Designed to offer a rich and immersive learning experience in the Spanish language and culture. Beginning with the basics for younger students, the course introduces foundational elements such as vocabulary, common phrases, and basic grammar, using engaging and interactive methods like songs, games, and storytelling. As students progress, the curriculum evolves to cover more complex linguistic structures, including advanced grammar, vocabulary expansion, and conversational fluency, alongside cultural insights into the diverse Spanish-speaking world. The course is crafted to be dynamic and comprehensive, employing a variety of educational tools to ensure a diverse and engaging learning experience. The ultimate goal is to build fluency in Spanish, foster cultural appreciation, and equip students with the linguistic skills necessary for academic success and personal enrichment.

Lego Club (8 Weeks)

Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning through the versatile world of LEGO building. Students will explore engineering concepts, architectural design, and storytelling as they work on projects that range from free-form creations to guided builds. Younger students will focus on spatial awareness, fine motor skills, and imaginative play, while older students will incorporate principles of design, planning, and structural integrity into their builds. The course emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and attention to detail, fostering a fun and engaging environment where students can bring their ideas to life brick by brick.

Junior Pickleball with Universal Rackets

The Main Line’s premier pickleball and tennis group, Universal Rackets, is bringing back another exciting season of pickleball for all levels at the JCC. Whether your child has been playing for years or just looking to get into the game, Universal Rackets has clinics just right for you! Clinics take place at the JCC’s newly renovated indoor gym on weekends and after school.
