October 7

Three Years Since October 7

Three years have passed since the October 7 massacre, since that day of Simchat Torah, the Jewish holiday that marks the end of the Torah reading cycle, the conclusion of the fall holidays, and the beginning of a new cycle and a return to the routines of a new year.

That sense of routine was shattered on October 7. In the three years since, we have lived through the massacre and ongoing wars, years of waiting and hoping for the return of the hostages, missiles over Israel, a dramatic rise in antisemitism, and growing tension and polarization within our own American society.

As we mark three years since that terrible day, we invite you to join the JCC community and our larger community for a series of events to remember, reflect, learn, and explore the ongoing impact of October 7 on Israel, the Jewish people, and our own community.
