His tenth book\, titled Democracy on the Edge\, was published by the University Press of Kansas in August. Each week we will head to a different historical landmark and take a tour to learn about the stories that helped shaped the history of Philadelphia. The tours will include; Strawberry Mansion (10/8)\, Laural Hill Mansion(10/15)\, and Woodford Mansion (10/22). \nWithin the grounds of Fairmount Park\, these historic houses served as the rural summer villas of wealthy families during the eighteenth and early nineteenth century.
