DESCRIPTION:Part 1 (June 25): Beginning with a discussion of Louis Armstrong lips and other legendary horn players\, the physical and particularly neurological afflictions of musicians can potentially devastate great careers. We’ll cover various ailments such as Satchmo Syndrome\, trumpeter’s syncope\, musician’s dystonia\, drug addiction and musical hallucinations. \nPart 2 (July 2): Music as Medicine explores how music can be a therapeutic strategy for healing and a motivational force for recovery.
