DESCRIPTION:Cost: $50 Early Bird Price by 8/1; $75 Regular Price by 8/9 \nWe are thrilled to be partnering with the Israel Policy Forum to bring “Secure\, Jewish\, and Democratic” to the Philadelphia area. \n“Secure\, Jewish and Democratic” is a 5-session course where attendees dive into the major issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today. Throughout the sessions\, you will form a community\, learn together\, deepen your understanding of the issues\, and leave feeling empowered to navigate dialogue about the conflict. \nSession 1: Thursday\, Sept 5\, 6:30-9pm \nSession 2: Tuesday\, Sept 10\, 6:30-8:30pm \nSession 3: Monday\, Sept 16\, 6:30-8:30pm \nSession 4: Sunday\, Sept 22\, 10am-12pm (virtual) \nSession 5: Tuesday\, Sept 24\, 6:30-9pm \nThis program is open to a limited number of participants\, and we hope you will join us! The application is available online\, here \nSubsidy is available and we do not want cost to be a barrier for any attendees\, email us for more information. DESCRIPTION:Cost: $18 \nDate: Sunday 9/22 \nInstructor: Miryam Coppersmith \nYiddish dance offers many joyful and playful ways to dance to klezmer music: in a line\, a circle\, with a partner\, or on your own. Join Miryam Coppersmith to learn about the history of “dancing Jewish\,” explore the different rhythms and dances of Eastern Europe\, and get moving! Miryam is passionate about dancing being accessible for all and will offer modifications for mobility and accessibility needs. This workshop is recommended for adults and teens. \nMiryam Coppersmith is a dancer and educator based in Philadelphia. Since training with Steve Weintraub\, she has embraced the world of klezmer and Yiddish dance. Miryam leads dancing for simchas and at synagogues throughout the region. \nClick here to register!
