Many composers have contributed to this body of work\, among them Bizet and the much loved Puccini. However\, bestriding the world of opera in the second half of this century like twin colossi\, are the towering figures of Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi\, both born in 1813. It is Verdi who will be the subject of our attention and affection in this class. Verdi might justifiably be considered the very soul of opera. Join us as we explore the works of this great creative genius from the raw power of his early masterpiece “Nabucco\,” through the impassioned middle-period works such as “La Traviata\,” to the monumental later works like “Don Carlos” and “Aida.” \nRegistration Below:
