SUMMARY:Gems at the J | The Illustrated Passover Haggadah
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Dr. Ierachmiel Daskal \nFor more than 40 years Dr. Daskal has been collecting Haggadas. The collection consists of only original manuscripts that range from the earliest copy in our collection printed in 1505 and excludes facsimiles and copies printed after 1960. The collection consists of printed copies of both conventional and non-conventional Haggadahs from all over the world in more than 20 languages. At present the total number of manuscripts in the collection is over 1\,000. The presentation will illustrate some highlights from of the more prized items in the collection that will demonstrate how the Passover illustrated Haggadah reflects on the universal historical Jewish experience. \nThis program is part of Day @ the J Special Passover Program. \nClick here to register!
