Mitzvah Food Pantry
The mission of the Mitzvah Food Pantry is to proved food and basic staples in a caring and dignified manner to those in our community who are in need through the mobilization of volunteers and community groups, spearheaded by synagogues and Jewish organizations.
The Mitzvah Food Pantry provides non-perishable grocery items to those in our community who are needy. The pantry network serves anyone in need, regardless of race, rilgion, age, gender or household income.
Pantries are available at the JCCs Klein Branch, JCCs Stiffel Senior Center and JCCs Kaiserman Branch. Below is information about the various distribution times and contact information.
The JCCs Klein Branch Mitzvah Food Pantry
Clients are welcome to access the pantry once a month on Tuesdays from 2:30-4pm. Please call in the morning before coming to the branch. For more information on how to access the pantry or make food donations, please call Nina Cohen at 215-698-7300 x197 or Tracy Ciampaglia at x195.
The JCCs Stiffel Senior Center Mitzvah Food Pantry
Clients are welcome to access the pantry once a month on Thursdays from 2:30-4pm. Please call in the morning before coming to the branch and confirm the date of distribution at the beginning of each month. For more information on how to access the pantry or donate food, please call Judy Woloff at 215-468-3500.
The JCCs Kaiserman Branch Mitzvah Food Pantry
Food packages are distributed through the pantry by delivery only. Clients are welcome to access the pantry by contacting Drisana Davis at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, 215-832-0500.
The Mitzvah Food Pantry Network is coordinated in partnership with the Mitzvah Projects Task Force of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
