JCC Maccabi Games® - Team Philadelphia

For Jewish Athletes ages 13-16.
The JCC Maccabi Games® are a week-long international sporting event for Jewish athletes’ held each year in North America. The experience includes opening ceremony, intense competitions, community service mitzvah projects, fun evening events, home hospitality and down time activities. Team Philadelphia, one of the largest delegations participating in the Games each year, is comprised of athletes from all over the Philadelphia area and its suburbs. The Kaiserman JCC is the home base for Team Philadelphia. Athletes must try out for a position on a team.

Tryouts are open to Jewish teens that are 13 and not yet 17 by July 31 the year they are competing.

What’s Included
The all-inclusive Games fee includes: all transportation/airfare, luggage fees, opening ceremony outfit, competition uniform, trading pins, trading t-shirts, housing, all meals, competition, all evening events.

Fees & Travel
Tryout fee is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  (No tryout fee for info sessions for track, tennis or swimming)
2017 Games fees are:  Birmingham & Miami $2400;  Albany:  $2000

Partial Scholarships
Partial scholarships are available based on financial need. Call Marti Berk for applications after the child has made the team; 610.896.7770 x125. Apps must be received by March 1, 2017. Athletes also have the opportunity to fundraise to help reduce costs.
