LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
Each year, the JCCs of Greater Philadelphia offers local Jewish athletes ages 10-16 the opportunity to represent our community at the JCC Maccabi Games® and Mid-Atlantic Junior Games.
The Maccabi Experience promotes community involvement, teamwork and pride in being Jewish and has touched the lives of thousands of athletes and their families. Team Philadelphia brings teams to the Games hosted each summer by JCCs throughout North America.
JCCs Maccabi Games® for athletes 13-16
The JCC Maccabi Games® have been offering a life and personality-shaping experience to Jewish teenagers ages 13-16 years old since 1982. At this Jewish Olympic-style event, each athlete has the chance to participate in one of 14 sporting events, creating memories that will last a lifetime.This summer the Games will be held in 3 cities:Akron, OH; San Diego, CA & Detroit, MIWe do not know yet which sports will be travelling to which cities. Mid-Atlantic Junior Games
The Mid-Atlantic Junior Games offer a one-day, JCC Maccabi Games® experience for younger athletes ages 10-12. The Games draw athletes from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York and D.C. for a day of spirited competition in seven team and individual sports. The JCCs of Greater Philadelphia fields delegations from the JCCs Kaiserman Branch, JCCs Klein Branch, Gershman Y, Bucks County and the Bux-Mont Region.
