Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercise designed to both physically and mentally condition the body by using set patterns of movement in limited repetitions. Pilates focuses on executing movements with good technique to retain the mind and muscles. Its ruling principles are concentration, control, grace, precision and breath. Quality of life is enhanced as movement becomes more efficient. Advanced registration is required. This is a progressive class and beginners are encouraged to join at the start of a session.

Yoga Classes with Larry Cohan

Larry has been studying and teaching Yoga for over 30 years. Larry has studied a variety of Yoga styles including Iyenger, Bikram, Ashtanga, Power and Vinyasa Yoga. Larry is registered with the National Yoga Alliance as a certified Vinyasa and Power Yoga instructor. Participants in Larry’s classes say he is “challenging and tough, yet gentle...and extremely knowledgeable about the practice of Yoga.”

Vinyasa Yoga for all levels
This class is for men and women of all levels seeking to build a healthy mind and body at any age. Vinyasa Yoga will focus on the foundations of yoga, body alignment, physical conditioning, stretching and body mind awareness. The first 4 sessions in the fall will be offered with beginners in mind, but still challenging and fun for everyone. Come prepared to enjoy the benefits of yoga, and leave any doubt you may have at home.

Yoga Classes with Alison Tweedie 

Alison has been practicing Yoga for many years. She is trained and teaches the Power Vinyasa Yoga style and children’s yoga. Her new classes include:

Mommy & Me Yoga
This is a great way for children 2 to 4 years, to bond with a parent or caregiver. Children will enjoy yoga poses with song, stories and games. Help your child build the foundation of a healthy lifestyle while having fun. If your child is less than 2 or older than 4, please talk to the instructor to see if this class is a good fit.

Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga is a Yoga class designed for beginners. All poses are modified to fit the participant’s needs. The class will focus on stretching, breathing and balance, with some floor/mat work as well. The class is great for all ages, so come out and try a great way to stretch, relax and feel rejuvenated!
