2010 Mid-Atlantic Jr Games

The Jr games were were an amazing experience this Spring. Over 550 athletes participated from 15 different JCC across PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD. Opening ceremonies were hosted by Michael Barkann and local political dignitaries included Senator Daylin Leach, Representative Jim Gerlach, Representative Briggs all gave welcomes. Then off to the sports! Venues included the Kaiserman JCC, Friends Central and South Ardmore Park. Thanks to the many vounteers who helped make this day such a great success. We couldn't have done it without you. Check back with us next Winter for tryouts for the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Jr Games to be hosted by the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill.

The Mid-Atlantic Junior Games are modeled after the JCC Maccabi Games®, but geared for athletes’ ages 10-12 years old. This one day event is held each spring and teams are formed via the Kaiserman JCC, Bucks County Region, and Bux-Mont Region. Sports include: swimming, tennis, basketball and soccer. Over 500 athletes from PA, DE, MD and NJ participate in this Jewish sports experience. Volunteer coaches are needed.
Eligibility: Tryouts are open to Jewish pre teens that have reached their 10th birthday by 5/1/09 and have not reached their 13th birthday by 5/1/09.
What’s Included: The Games fee includes: t shirts, lunch and competition.
Fees and Travel: Tryout fee is $10. Games fee is $85 for Kaiserman JCC members and $165 for non-members. Parents are responsible for driving their child to the Games at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood.
