What are the JCC Maccabi Games?

The JCC Maccabi Games® are a week-long international sporting event for Jewish athletes' ages 13-16 held each year in North America. The experience includes opening ceremonies, intense competitions, community service mitzvah projects, fun evening events, home hospitality and down time activities. Team Philadelphia, one of the largest delegations participating in the Games each year, is comprised of athletes from all over the Philadelphia area and its suburbs. Athletes must try out for a position on a team.

Eligibility: Tryouts for the 2010 Games are open to Jewish teens that have reached their 13th birthday by 7/31/10 and have not reached their 17th birthday by 7/31/10.

Location: The sport you play determines which city you will go to.

What's Included: The Games fee includes: transportation, warm up, trading pins, t shirts, housing, all meals, competition. Additional: Competition uniform, souvenirs and spending money.

Fees & Travel: Tryout fee is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Games fees are vary depending on location.

Scholarships: Scholarships are available based on financial need. It is our goal that no eligible athlete will be left behind due to financial hardship.
