Group Fitness Classes

The Group Fitness department at the Kaiserman JCC offers a well-balanced, fun-filled program suitable for all fitness levels. Classes range from beginner to high intensity and are taught by certified group exercise instructors who are dedicated to maintaining a high quality class experience. Whether you are a first time participant or a seasoned pro, we've got a class for you. Come experience the warm, friendly, non intimidating atmosphere that makes the JCC group fitness classes so special.

All the group fitness classes are FREE to members!*

 

Spinning
Spinning is a group fitness exercise class done on specially designed stationary bikes. Participants are guided through intervals simulating outdoor riding by increasing and decreasing bike tension, standing, sitting, pedaling fast and pedaling slow. A great workout for all fitness levels. Sign ups for bike reservation begin ˝ hour prior to class time at the Member Services Desk. Guarantee your bike for $5/class.

Pedal & Crunch
30-minutes of spinning followed by 30-minutes of core conditioning. A great way to start your day! Sign-ups for spin bikes begin 30-minutes before class. You are welcome to come for the entire class or for one of the 30-minute segments.


Sunday Hi Lo Cardio Party
Come hang out and party hearty for 90 minutes every Sunday morning. Aerobics and strength just for fun-we promise you won't be disappointed.


Power Step
Non-stop action from start to finish! Advanced choreography. Great cardio workout.


Cardio and Core
30 minutes of cardio followed by core stabilization work. A unique combination to strengthen the heart and lungs and tone and tighten the abs and back.


Step n' Abs
A great high-intensity, lower body aerobic and strength workout using the "step" and resistance equipment.


Body Sculpting
Come strengthen and tone your entire body using a variety of resistance equipment. Shape, define, and boost metabolism. ALL STRENGTH, no cardio.


Boot Camp
A fast paced, high intensity caloric burning hour, designed for the fitness enthusiast looking for a new challenge. The program features five rotations of upper body, lower body, power abs, cardio burst and core conditioning. This class is designed to accommodate a more advanced participant.

Ditch the workout and join the party!  ZUMBA is the latest craze in group fitness classes.  Move to the sounds of the wild Latin beat while getting th eultimate cardio workout.  All levels...join us and move those hips!

20/20/20
20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength, 20 minutes of stretch. A fabulous class that includes all your fitness components.

Flexible Stretch
Stretching is an essential part of any workout program. You will be guided through a series of slow, gentle stretches to help focus on releasing tension, relaxing and
increasing flexibility.

Basic Low-Impact Aerobics
A moderately-paced, low-impact class consisting of a 10-minute warm up, 20 minutes of aerobics, 20 minutes of strength training including abdominal, and a 10-minute cool down and stretch.

Senior Aerobics
Light aerobics with basic toning and stretching designed specifically for senior Members. All exercises are done standing, no floor work.


Silver Sneakers® Muscular Strength and Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Water Aerobics*
This is an intermediate to advanced class using resistance of the water to increase cardiovascular and muscular strength.

Group Fitness Rules

1. Proper athletic shoes or sneakers must be worn during aerobics class.
2. Minimum age is 14 years to participate.
3. Small children are not permitted in the group fitness room during class.
4. No one is permitted to enter class more than 10 minutes after class begins.
