Family Mug Workshop

Sunday, March 26 | 1–4pm

Presented by the Main Line Art Center and the Kaiserman JCC

A one-session workshop designed for children 4 and up together with a parent/friend/caregiver. Multi-generational artmaking can be a deeply meaningful act of bonding and produce lasting memories that will be tresured as much as the pieces themselves. Each child/cargiver pair will roll out a slab of clay to carve and shape with designs. Each slab will then be divided into two pieces for the caregiver and child to each craft it into a functioning, matching mug. Includes snack/break time. Pieces will be available for pickup two weeks after workshop. Juice and pretzels will be provided. Clay and tools included in the workshop fee.

A Workshop in Memoir Writing

Each of us has a story to tell. In this memoir writing course, we will read selected short works of memoir, engage in discourse about these works and together learn the craft of writing memoir in order that we might learn about ourselves. The focus of this course will be to stimulate conversation, writing and the cultivation and exchange of both. Bring a brown bag lunch or order lunch from our onsite café- Nana's Kitchen. This course will be taught by Cassandra Krivy Hirsch, MFA.
