Adopt a Family for Chanukah!
You help is needed to Adopt a Family for Chanukah through the JCCs Klein Branch's Heart to Heart program. This program serves Jewish financially disadvantaged families, primarily in NOrtheast Philadelphia. Your gift can make a big difference, and it's also tax deductible!
An example of a family who needs help is listed below, though the case has been changed to protect the family's identity.
Family "A" is a family of five, and the father just lost his job. While receiving some unemployment, the family is facing a lot of financial difficulties in supporting the family, which include 3 children between the ages of 1 and 12. Daily necessities, including food, are difficult to purchase. Family ! hopes this is a temporary situation and that they will once again be self sufficient.

Pots and opans (preferably gift cards to purchase them)
Dryer (the one they had broke)
Arts and crafts for the children (crayone, markers, paint sets)
Toys R' Us gift card
Baby dolls/Cabbage Patch Kids
Gift Card to Gap, Target, Children's Place, Shoprite (food and clothing)
Nintendo DS (Double Screen) with game(s) for older boy
