KidVentures Post Camp | This exciting new program extends our summer care for another 2 weeks after the end of camp. We are seeking staff (experienced adults to high school students) to work August 14-18 and/or August 21-September 1.  We offer great pay and the opportunity to bring hands-on learning experiences to campers ages infant - age 13. Robert J. Wilf Preschool and Kindergarten | The Robert J. Wilf Preschool and Kindergarten at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood is currently hiring energetic, creative, experienced adults dedicated to a career in Early Childhood Education to join our team.  We offer a nurturing, child-centered environment.  Infants through accredited Kindergarten classes are complemented by gym & music class, Israeli dance, Hebrew, weekly Shabbat celebration and more. The teaching staff honors the uniqueness of each child, celebrating individual potential, and helping children question and discover. Our emergent curriculum permits learning activities that arise from each child’s interests, encouraging feelings of security and confidence in an age-appropriate atmosphere where each child feels free to explore, play, observe, question and make discoveries. Jewish heritage, values and traditions are celebrated, instilling a positive identity in each child.

Position:           Preschool Late Care Staff.  Monday – Friday 3:30pm to 6:00pm.  

Position starts September 5, 2017

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, college preferred. 
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of emergent curriculum and developmentally appropriate practice.
  • At least 2 years' experience working with infants/toddlers/preschoolers
  • Candidates will be emotionally responsive in their work with children, and wish to be part of a larger community that enriches children's lives by co-constructing meaningful learning experiences.
  • Must have effective and strong communication skills (orally and written).
  • First Aid and CPR certificate, preferred
  • FBI Clearance
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • State Police Clearance

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program's curriculum and state standards. 
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
  • Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
  • Establish a positive relationship with each child's family and share information about the child's day at the JCC.
  • Participate in staff meetings, center activities, and staff development.

  • Must have effective and strong communication skills (orally and written).

OPPORTUNITIES IN THE JCC FITNESS CENTER:

Fitness Room Attendant | Do you have a fitness background?  Effective immediately, we are looking for a fitness-knowledgeable, dependable attendant for our fitness room and cardio loft. Responsibilities include greeting members, assisting with equipment needs, assuring that the room provides a clean and safe environment. Must have excellent people skills, show courtesy and helpful attitude toward members. Personal Trainer | IMMEDIATE position openings for part-time Personal Trainers.  Must have current certification from a nationally recognized governing body AND/OR Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related major.  (At least 6 months experience & certification required)  Must also have CPR, AED and First Aid certification. Responsibilities include one-on-one fitness training to meet specific requirements of clients, as well as overall wellness counseling. Mostly morning& weekend hours with some flexibility. Candidate should demonstrate high energy with excellent people skills, ability to show courtesy and helpful attitude toward all members.  Established client following preferred.
