Our Programs

Infants and toddlers
Our youngest campers are introduced to the fun of summer camp in a safe, nurturing and low- key environment.  Under the supervision of caring, qualified preschool teachers and specialists, children enjoy a variety of age-appropriate camp activities including art, music, gym time, goofy games, free play, Shabbat, snack, water play and special events..

2 - 4 years
2 - 4 years. Our youngest campers are introduced to the enjoyment of summer camp in a safe and nurturing environment. Under the supervision of caring, qualified preschool teachers and specialists, our campers are able to experience a wide variety of social, recreational, creative, and engaging activities that are specifically designed for this age group and developmental levels. K’ Ton Ton campers are based in preschool classrooms where they store their belongings, eat lunch, snack, change, and rest. Activities are led by trained specialists so the role of the counselors is to focus on the children. Campers in this division also enjoy water play and instructional swim. Our goal is to help every camper acclimate to the water and become water safe. *Children under 2 years old should contact Amy Foster at “afoster@phillyjcc.com” for year-round child care options.

Kindergarten - 2nd grade
Kadimah children continue their camp journey with a wide assortment of process-oriented, age-appropriate activities and special programs. Activities are designed to expose the children to as many new things as possible, while encouraging them to think individually and work cooperatively with others. Our dynamic staff of counselors and specialists enhances the camp experience by working hand in hand with each camper ensuring his/her safety and well being while also creating “kef”!

3rd & 4th grade
As campers grow they gain independence. In this division, our campers combine traditional camp with self-selected activities, special trips, unique unit programming and exciting events. Our friendly staff of counselors and specialists guide campers and help them develop their interests while creating a fun, safe, environment where children can learn, grow and make lasting friendships.

5th & 6th grades
Our 5th and 6th graders get the best that camp has to offer with weekly intensive arts and sports options as well as traditional camp activities, field trips, and special unit programming. The goal of this division is to whet campers’ appetites for learning new things while providing stimulating, challenging and fun opportunities to grow as individuals and within groups.

7th, 8th & 9th grades

Our oldest campers get to experience all the challenges and fun of day camp with stimulating camper activities. Each day also provides opportunities to work with younger children and their counselors. The Chalutzim program consists of hands-on experience in child development, conflict resolution and proper supervision techniques while the rest of the day is filled with traditional and special age-appropriate activities and programming as well as mitzvah projects and community service.

Children with special needs* are given unique opportunities to participate and be included in our camp program. This program is tailored to support and facilitate social development and peer interaction, along with creative and athletic skills, in a fun and nurturing environment. Campers enrolled in this program are placed in age appropriate groups with qualified, trained staff to insure the success of each child in our camp setting.

"Jake has had such a great time at camp Kef this summer.  I am so grateful that your camp offers the inclusion program to give kids like Jake an opportunity to experience all of the fun activities of a typical day camp.  I was so pleased with how well Jake did during his first two weeks that I wanted to let his school know what a positive experience it has been. I felt like Jake was so excited about camp and was communicating more ever.  He talked about camp every day!  Heather also said he did a great job following along with the other kids and even greeted peers without prompting a few times, which for Jake is a big improvement.

"I just wanted to let you know how much Sadie and Harrison absolutely LOVE camp.  Both kids are beyond excited to go each day.  Sadie comes home and is so thrilled to share all of the fun things you do.  The difference between her enthusiasm from last year to this year is remarkable.  You have such an amazing line up of fun activities and clearly, a lot of hard work was put forth on your end!  Also, thank you for being so accomodating with the days.  It's working out perfectly.

"It is Rose and Greta's last day at Camp Kef today, and I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful summer. They had an absolute blast...were eager to go in the morning and full of stories when they came home. Emily and Nalani were spectacular -- super fun, sweet, responsible, just great young women for R&G to look up to, which they absolutely did. Thank you for all your incredibly hard work at camp and throughout the year to make this such a great experience for the kids.

"I just wanted you to know how much Mitch and Vivian Collins are enjoying camp, which makes for happy parents!  Camp Kef is so well organized, full of great activities and counselors. I love the photos that you post as well. The kids are already talking about next year. Thank you so much for giving them such a great experience!

"Thanks again for making Lexi feel so welcome at camp the last few weeks. I think she was really sad to see Camp Kef end, which speaks volumes about her experience there. My husband and I appreciate all of your efforts and think you are providing a valuable resource in our community and in the world.

"Just need to say thank you again. My kids are so happy and having so much fun!

"They love love love camp Kef and we are grateful for your program and the amazing staff!!!

"My son Aaren is a sweet loving boy who brings joy wherever he goes. He also has a disability that has made it difficult for us to give him access to the things all children deserve, including summer camp. That was until we found Camp Kef at the Kaiserman JCC! The amazing people of Camp Kef opened their hearts and minds and gave Aaren the best summer of his life. They saw beyond his disability and allowed him to have the opportunity to show the many things he is capable of. Thanks to the Camp Kef community, Aaren was able to finish his summer with the best experience of all: friendship.

"We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Circus of the Kids program at Camp Kef. Our son gained confidence and was challenged to do extraordinary things—tightrope walking and jumping through fire-- under the direct supervision of a professional staff of performers. And most importantly, Simon had a blast!
